Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24010
Hi,
By taking a looking at the BQ27750, which already integrates battery management unit, protector and gas gauge.
Initially I thought the chip doesn't require a charger IC to work. I directly connected the output of my USB charger to the port of PACK+ and PACK-, which is also the output to the load. Once the port of PACK is connected to the external USB charger, it does work and clamped the voltage of USB charger to be 3.2V until 4.2V
However, I realize the port of pack isn't designed to directly connect with internal DC supply. I suppose it should group with a charger IC to work properly, am I right?
Do you have any recommendation for the charger IC? I don't need fancy feathures, as long as it works with a USB charger (5V/1A), it's good enough. I'm thinking about choosing BQ24010.
