Hello,

  I'm wondering if TI has any internal solutions that provide a dynamically configurable PSE or PD with one IC?

  I have an application where I would like devices A & B to sometimes send power from A -> B but then later the power should flow from B -> A.  (When transitioning the devices are allowed to disconnect and then re-connect and re-negotiate power direction.)

  (I am planning on using LM5170 or TIDM-BUCKBOOST-BIDIR for the back end.)

    Thank you for your inquiry Kuenrg.

    TI does not offer such a solution today as it is outside the scope of the IEEE802.3at (PoE) standard.

    We appreciate the idea and will consider your proposal in future IC definition discussions.
