Dear Sir/Mam

                 As per mentioned in datasheet regarding BQ24450 that IC provide Pre charge current to deeply discharge battery to safely charge the deeply discharge battery these type of charging method is good provision and appreciated. I had one question as follows:

1) Is there any provsion on BQ24450 for trickle charge that means to charge battery at lower charge current so as to avoid self discharging of battery?

If these provision is available with BQ24450 please kindly provide documents for the same , if provision is not there kindly provide any other external solution for the same

    The BQ24450 has a Trickle Charge feature, pin 11 PRE-CHG. Data sheet Design Example has a section on the calculations for it.

    Dear Sir

     I had tested and cleared all readings and concepts regarding Pre-charge , I am having doubts regarding Trickle charge feature in BQ24450.

    Is there any feature of Trickle Charging in BQ24450 that means in short I want to charge battery to avoid Self Discharging of Battery.

    I am having doubts regarding Trickle charge feature in BQ24450 Because these is the feature for which I am looking for so as to avoid self discharging of battery and in datasheet and in IC BQ24450 there is is provision of Pre-charge for safely charging of deep discharge batteries.

    Presently I am in need to charge battery at minimal current after full charging so as to avoid self discharging of batteries.
