TPS54260

For TPS54260EVM, the chip spec stated its ability to accept wide range input, but the EVM board limited the input range between 10.8V to 13.2V!! Are there any doc or app-notes to show how to to change its components to accept wide input range again? We only interested in 9V to 36V range.

  • The EVM is designed and optimized for a 12 V bus operation.  This is teh most common application.  It is not in general possible to optimize a circuit for large Vin varaition, so even though a device nay be reated for a large input voltage range, it is best practice to design for a specific input voltage.   All that being said, it is possible to operate teh EVM at voltages up to 60 V.  the components are rated to hande that input voltage, but performance may be limited (ie.  efficiency at 60 V input will be somewhat low)
