TPS92515HV-Q1: Output current tolerance

Part Number: TPS92515HV-Q1

Hi,

When IADJ is set by dividing voltage from VCC, do I have to consider VCC tolerance and IADJ reference tolerance?

If VCC tolerance is +/-8% and IADJ reference tolerance is +/-4%, Is output current tolerance +/-11%?

for higher tolerance, if use voltage reference, Can I consider only IADJ reference tolerance?

Thanks.

  • Hello David,

Yes, you need to take into account the tolerance of the voltage applied at IADJ. Using VCC is the most simple method but not the most accurate (although it is better than +/-8% in reality).

If you need tighter tolerance you should use a precision voltage applied to IADJ, then you are only concerned with the internal error amplifier offsets.
