Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools
Hi,
In LMR14206 datasheet there's an example design with Vin from 4.5 to 42V and Voit of 3.3V (the very first typical application)
WEBENCH doesn't accept this because of min Ton requirement failed.
Is it a datasheet error or a WEBENCH limit ? Can this part provide 3.3V output with 42V input ?

LMR14206 has min on time limitation of 100nS which translates into the fact that the design will switch at constant frequency of 1.25MHz uptill input voltage of 26V or so (with 3.3V output) . The device will withstand higher input voltage but at input voltages higher than 26V or so , the output might exhibit higher ripple at the output .
If you want to avoid higher ripple at higher input voltages then we would suggest something like LM53600-Q1 . Here the smooth frequency foldback is implemented at higher input voltages .
