UCC25600: Current sense network calculation with split capacitors in ressonant tank

Hi everyone, i have one question about the design of my last project, smps LLC with UCC25600. I''ll go use split capacitors in  ressonant tank. How is the procediment of calculator of components of current sense network in this case?

    Thanks for your interest in UCC25600. Using split capacitors should not change the current sense network. Cs and Rs function as a differentiator which measures the resonant current from the dV/dt of the resonant capacitance. D1 and D2 rectifies the AC signal from the differentiator.

  • Benjamin, thank you very much for the feedback and sorry for my bad English. So is the value of Cs and Rs following the sluc146? I have one more question about this project. What is the care to be taken for application in the LLC topology in oscillating loads with audio energy applications where consumption is variable at all times? Load gradients are characteristic in these applications mainly in loud musics.

    I think what you will want to consider is that audio output power is not equal to the power demand it will pull from your power supply. You will certainly need to design the LLC to handle peak power, but the LLC will not have to deliver peak power continuously. Audio power amplifiers are sensitive to variations in the power supply so you might consider putting a PI filter on your output to reduce the output ripple. Another item is your layout will have an impact on the performance of your audio system. From a power supply perspective, it is better to lay out the LLC output close to the load (the power amplifiers). You will want to keep the high frequency switching elements as far away as possible from the amplifiers.
