TPS737: Some questions about EN pin

Part Number: TPS737

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask TPS73701?

Our customer needs follows as reference;
-Equivalent circuit at EN pin
-Temperature coefficient of VEN(HI) -40C to 125C

Our customer tested with -25deg condition and 25 deg condition.
It seems that 25deg's VEN(HI) is low compared with -25deg.
During startup slope, the condtion may be unstable because of -25deg and low VEN(HI).
They want to consider including the worst case.

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • Hi Hirotaka Matsumoto,

    The EN pin functions as an active-high digital input to the LDO.  It is designed to accept voltages below 0.5 V as a logic low across temperature and voltages above 1.7 V as a logic high across temperature.

    We did not measure the temperature coefficient for Ven(hi).  While the exact enable thresholds are between Ven(hi) min and Ven(low) max, the duration the enable rail is at a voltage between should be minimized.  This can be achieved by using a GPIO or Supervisor IC to drive EN.  Having an intermediate Ven can cause the LDO output to turn partially on.

    Very Respectfully,

    Ryan
