TPS51206: About matching the DDR4

Part Number: TPS51206

I think that TPS51206 can't use DDR4 application, because TPS51206 is not match the required tolerance of DDR4.

Is it correct?

If incorrect, is there schedule for update the datasheet?

    I answer about tolerance below,
    ・DDR4 is required 2% accuracy for Vref,
    　(VVDDQSNS /2)×(±2%)=(1.2V/2)×(±2%)
    　　　　　　　　　　=±12mV
    　⇒Vtt: 0.6V±12mV
    ・TPS51206's Output voltage tolerance to VVDDQSNS (Vttreftol) is 48.75%～51.25% by datasheet page-5.
    　(1.2V/2)×(48.75%～51.25%)=0.585V～0.615V
    　　　　　　　　　　　　　=±15mV
    　⇒Vtt: 0.6V±15mV

    I think that above equation mean TPS51206 is not match DDR4 required spec.
    I hope to judge TPS51206 can use DDR4 or not.

    Understand your question.

    The test condition of VREF tolerance on datasheet spec is +/-10mA.

    The VREF current of DDR4 is only a few uA. Our test data shows with +/-100uA, the VREF tolerance meet +/-1% with margin. So I think TPS51206 can meet DDR4 spec. Also, we are considering to add VREF tolerance spec at +/-100uA to datasheet during next update.

    Btw, TPS51206 is being used by some customer in DDR4 application.

    I'm working on it. The datashee update needs to be reviewed by several teams, the estimated complete day is the end of March.
