UCC29002: SHUT, ADJ PIN LAYOUT

Part Number: UCC29002

HI

What happens when you accidentally connect a KELVIN to sensing for voltage differences in the same line

I came to know.

Should SHUNT and ADJ of UCC29002 sense the voltage difference of the same line and apply Kelvin sensing in connection with LAYOUT connection?

  • Hello Andy,
The ADJ input is always taken from the positive side of the load.
The shunt resistor can be on the positive side (for high line sensing) or the negative side (for low line sensing) of the load.
The data sheet has many examples of this.
Also there is a layout guidelines section that shows how to wire it up correctly.
    Regards
    John
