Hi,
Can you provide a brief information on the Ground pin current.What is it and reason for this current ? How/where it is measured?

Hi,
Datasheet of TPS736 has Maximum Ground pin current of 550uA & 1000uA which is validated at Iout=10mA and Iout=400mA respectively. If I measure the Ground pin current in series to Vin, then it should be more than or equal to Iout currents. I.e 10mA or 400mA.
Please clarify. Below the datasheet spec. attached.

Rather than breaking the Ground connection from the Gnd pin to the Ground plane, I suggest you measure the input current and subtract the output current.
IGnd = Iin - Iout
You can do this by placing a current meter on the input and output to measure input and output currents respectively.
Hope this helps?
David.
