BQ24074: Re-charging condition

Hi

Could you check the following understanding is correct?

1. Re-charging is run when battery voltage is below VRCH while input source (adapter or usb) is connected. Is it correct?

2. If the TS monitoring is not used, TS can be connected to VSS with 10Kohm resistor. Is the re-charging like question 1 can be functional even when TS monitoring is disabled?


3. Is there any other condition to be run re-charging?

    Hello

    Question 1.) Re-charging is run when battery voltage is below VRCH while input source (adapter or usb) is connected. Is it correct?--Bill J -- Yes, for the bq24074 this is 4.2V -100mV.

    Question 2.) If the TS monitoring is not used, TS can be connected to VSS with 10Kohm resistor. Is the re-charging like question 1 can be functional even when TS monitoring is disabled?---Bill J -- Yes, 

    Question 3.)  Is there any other condition to be run re-charging?---Bill J -- It will depend on why charge has stopped. 

    Charge complete would restart with VRCH,

    Temp will not be an issue with TS at ground,

    PreCharge has a 30min timer and Charge has a 5 hour timer. 

    Note --If battery is below 1.8V current is reduced to about 7.5mA.
