BQ24075: SYSOFF to turn disconnected BAT to VOUT

Hi,

BQ24075 has SYSOFF to turn off MOSFET Q2 to disconnect BAT to VOUT..

Whether this is a true turn off? Does the MOSFET body diode still conduct current from BAT?

    The function block diagram for both Q1 and Q2 has omitted some info on the devices.

    In testing in the lab I have confirmed that the current will not flow from OUT to BAT with SYSOFF.   When voltage at OUT is above BAT no current will flow.  When OUT is below BAT output will turn off.

    UPDATE--Both Q1 and Q2 have reverse current features that are not shown in the functional block to simplify explanation of the circuit features.

    Hi Bill,

    Thanks. Because I saw 3.xV at the OUT when OUT pin is floating (SYSOFF is high, Battery is attached), when several mA loading is applied. Voltage at OUT drop to 0V. Is this the case you mentioned for "When OUT is below BAT output will turn off"?
