TPS65130: Basic layout advice

Part Number: TPS65130

Hi Colleagues,

I have to use the TPS65130 to produce +5VDC & -5VDC from a 3 AA alkaline cell battery supply. The current requirement is << 50mA for each rail. The PCB will be 6 layers.

My question is this....Should I strive to put all the components on one side of the PCB or use both the top & bottom (component & solder side) layers?

Hello Dave,

Please put all components on one side of the PCB. It is also crucial to follow the rules as described in the layout section of the d/s (Chapter 10), especially take care of the high switching and sensitive signals.

Hi again....I would like to send you this PCB design for your perusal. Screenshots do not look great. Is there any way I can send you the PCB design file (OrCad format). Or perhaps you could suggest another way of getting the design to you.
