Part Number: TPS65235

When I compare the specifications of TPS65235 and TPS65235-1, the Max value of Iout is different.

Does the TPS65235 support Iout MAX values up to 1A?

I'm wondering if I can use the TPS65235 and TPS65235-1 interchangeably.

The TPS65235-1 is the improved device of TPS65235, it can eliminate the audible noise at light. The other performace are same, so they both can support Iout MAX values up to 1A.

So as for the MAX Iout parameter, TPS65235 and TPS65235-1 are interchangeably.

I am going to apply it to Satellite Set Top Box.

Under what circumstances does the audible noise occur?

There is an application note which introduces the audible noise, FYI.

In short, when Vout is close to Vin, at light load, there will be tiny audible noise which generated by BOOST MLCC.

So recommend to use TPS65235-1 for your application.
