REF3325: Quick Question: recommended device for TID?

Part Number: REF3325

Hi team,

I'm developing a new TI Design and I'm looking at devices to provide an external voltage reference. The overall system requires a small form factor and the VREF needs to be very accurate (~0.2%). Is the REF33xx the best recommendation for this application?

Thanks!

Arthur

  • Hi Arthur,

What is the application of the reference? What type of devices is the voltage reference providing a reference for?

What is the temperature range of your application?

Are there any other parameters you are taking into consideration besides accuracy and package? Iq? Temp Co?

If you are specifically looking at the UQFN package, then i would recommend the REF33xx. Overall it will have good accuracy that will meet your standards, but depending on the temperature range, thermal parameters such as temperature coefficient may affect your accuracy.

    Regards,

    Ethan

  • Hi Ethan,

The reference is being used in Add-on cards (PCIE, RAID, etc) , providing an external reference on one of our upcoming devices. Temperature range and Iq aren't huge concerns for the application, but that is good to know. The TID will be operating at room temperature, so this shouldn't affect much.

    Thanks for the confirmation!
