12V input, 5.4V output, 100mA load LDO

Hi there,

I need a LDO running from 12V+/-10% rail, and output 5.4V (fixed voltage prefer), up to 100mA load. I searched the tI.com  but didn't find anything close. thanks in advance!

    Hi Sheng,

    I'll be more than happy to help you find the right par for your system. As you've mentioned I could not find a part to match your exact search criteria, however I do have some suggested solutions which could work.

    1. If you can lower your input voltage to 6.5 then our TPS799L. Please note this device is only available in DSBGA, so I'm not sure if this is within your package preferences.

    2. If we could leverage an adjustable LDO we can leverage a device like our LP2951 which can work at 12V or more, provide accurate regulation and handle the power dissipation in your system.

    Can either one of these work? Are there other key specifications that you would need to meet?
