No matter what signal is, I think ROH's body diode conducts all the time.

Then, it is difficult to drop the OUTL down to GND.

Isn't ROH(Drain-Source) upside down?

    you are correct in your observation about the figure: the high-side FET ROH has been drawn upside-down in this image.

    Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

    The actual IC has the p-FET configured correctly and it will operate as expected.
