Hello,

What i have in my Project :

1. Single Super cap 360F ,2.7 volt

2. DC hand Crank Generator , 8 watt , 3-18 V output voltage

I need to charge this capacitor by hand crank generator. Please suggest which IC will work as a SuperCap charger IC.

The selected IC should provide

1. Back power Flow isolation

2. 2.7 charging voltage with current pumped by the 8 watt hand crank generator.

3. Minimum Power losses .

4. Super cap full charged indication.

Hi Abhay,

The bq33100 is a supercap monitor that for 2 or more supercapacitors in series.

This device is not suitable for single capacitor operation.

Thanks for your reply..

PMP9755 is based on TPS61030 and i have gone through the datasheet of this part,this part operating range is up to 5 volt.
But my input will be up to 12 volt (8 watt crank generator), i think this will not be suitable for charging but it is quite good to get
power from super cap after charging it but for that purpose i am using TPS61202.

LM2596 will not work well in adj mode ? It is also having 92% efficiency.
