Hi team,

Can LP8862 output be paralleized? connect 2 outputs together to generate higher output current.

    Hello,

    Yes, you can connect the LED outputs on the LP8862 to generate higher current, but please note that LED open or short detection will no longer be available. For open/short fault detection the device will require at least 2 strings to operate. You can refer to section 7.3.5.1 for more details on the LED fault detection algorithm.

    You might also be interest in looking into LP8860-Q1 device for higher current per string.
