Hi Onyx

I am able to start the EVM now.

1. I am trying to run a learning cycle but it does not show any plug-in for learning cycle in the bqstudio software.

2. I am also having troubles as to which parameters to change.

3. How can we charge and discharge the battery through EVM?

I have done the calibration and selection of Chem Id too.

Hi Onyx,

1) I could not find the charger termination taper current in data memory.

2) Whenever I try to send the Gauge enable command it seems to show not available in result.

I tried to use the unseal command but that is also unavailable.

Hi Nikhil,
-charge term taper current is in advanced charge algorithm ->termination Config
-Make sure the device is not sealed. There is an unseal and an unseal full access button. You need to click both.

Hi Onyx,
I am trying to complete the learning cycle.
I am able to discharge the battery but after relaxation of 5 hours I am not able to start the charging I am sending a picture below for the concerned registers.
What I am doing is to clear the bit I press Gauge_En from command window and after relaxation of 5 hours and after discharging I press the Gauge_En button again to set the bit.
Please advice me on this.

After I set the Gauge_En bit it shows me a around 84% battery again as soon as the command is pressed.

hi Nikhil,
You have the xchg flag set meaning your charge fet is turned off hence your inability to charge the cell. You need to click the fet enable command button to turn on the fet. You are not supposed to send the gauge enable command multiple times. Did you thoroughly review the app note i sent you earlier?

Hi Onyx,
I have used the fet enable command and tried to start the charging but the charge is still going from 90 and downwards.

Also do we need to change anything in the setup or commands during relaxation time of 5 hours or charging time of 2 hours.
will everything be automated?

Do we stop the discharging current given to 1N and charger/load- which is 2A and when I calibrate the applied current it takes only negative values.
The voltage supplied to charger+ and charger - is 4V and current in that is 10 mA.
Is there any problem in that?
This activity is urgent so please reply as soon as possible

Hi Nikhil,
Charging doesn't play a very critical part in the learning cycle process. That is why you are allowed to use any rate to charge. Discharge is more important. If learning is successful, update status would be 06.
