Hi Shyam

what is the maximum desired discharge current that your protector is to protect against? The fet selection is the most important part of this design as you are supposed to choose fets with corresponding Rdson for the overcurrent condition. Did you refer to section 10.2.2 of the data sheet when choosing yor fet?

We are looking at 20mΩ @ VGS = 2.5V 5.6A . We have a section of circuit that might take 3A.

Shyam,
Is the total Rdson of the two fets 20mohm? If so your circuit can handle 5A for overcurrent discharge. Given your max is 3A, i believe you are ok
