Hi,

I want to use the TPS65381 as the PMIC of TMS570, but i can't search out any reference schematic about this combination,

could you please show me it, thank you.

Hi Erik,

I am not very sure whether we have any dedicated reference design schematics for TPS65381 as the PMIC of TMS570. But, you can refer to the EVM userguide which has schematic diagram and BOM for the TPS65381 . You can refer to the "Interfacing TPS65381 With Hercules Microcontrollers" application notes for the top level block diagram. However, I have looped in our expert on this and he will reply to you if we have more documents on this topic.

Hi Erik,

There is a TI Design http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00548 which includes both devices and is using a DCDC for the core supply instead of the standard VDD1 LDO controller with external FET while using the VDD1_SENSE from the TPS65381A-Q1 to monitor the core rail. An older design with a TMS570 needing less core current uses the LDO controller that is available at: http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDM-RM46XDRV8301KIT

Please also use the Design Check List and Datasheet available on the TPS65381A-Q1 product page for references in how to use each regulator. The electrical specification and apps sections outlines the capacitance, inductance and any series resistance requirements for each regulator.

The TPS65381A-Q1 and TPS65381-Q1 are functionally equivalent so the TPS65381-Q1 drivers work with the TPS65381A-Q1 device. The drivers are part of the SafeTI Diagnostic Library (SDL) which is available at the following link (free): www.ti.com/.../safeti_diag_lib
