BQ24196: bq24196 no output when battery absence

hello

    my bq24196 work normal when battery on; l set the shipping mod and take the battery away; my sys output dispeared; l insrert the battery and connect the input ;there is still

no outout; whant`s wrong with it ? does the bq24196 have the power path?

    Hi Du,

    The shipping mode will be used when the battery is connected to the bq24196. The steps to enable the shipping mode are as follows:

    1. Disable watchdog timer

    2. Turn off Q4 (enter ship mode)

    Following these steps, the device can be woken up by applying an adapter voltage.

    These steps can be verified from the following statement copied from the datasheet section on shipping mode.

    In order to keep BATFET off during shipping mode, the host has to disable the watchdog timer (REG05[5:4] =

    00) and disable BATFET (REG07[5] = 1) at the same time.

    Once the BATFET is disabled, the BATFET can be turned on by plugging in adapter.
