Hi

I have question for the following blog.

Constant-On-Time (COT) regulators provide a simple , cost-effective way of implementing step-down buck regulators with nearly fixed frequency. COT regulators do not require loop compensation and provide…

In the blog, the value of Rf is set as 10Kohm.

Is this value of resistance impacted for the efficiency?

For example, if Rf is too small what impact is considered?  Or it doesn't matter?

  • The Value of Rf will impact how much Vout will adjust for a given change in the DAC voltage. In effect, Rf effects the gain of the Vout adjustment as a result of voltage change on the DAC. It will have no tangible effect on the efficiency.

    Hope this helps?
