We are controlling Battery charger BQ24616 using MSP430F5659IPZ. We are monitoring the Battery Voltage, Charging Current using ADC and monitoring Battery Status Pin at MSP430F5659IPZ. At present, we are not able to differentiate Battery Charge Suspend / Battery Absence. In datasheet, it is mentioned that BQ24616x has battery detection mechanism. How can we differentiate the battery presence condition and Battery charge suspend condition from MSP430 GPIO?
