LM3488Q-Q1: pin FMEA for pin7 and pin8 short

Hi Champs,

My custoemr is evaluating pinFMEA of LM3488.

Can you provide what would happen if pin7 and pin8 are shorted together? Will it cause fatal and pernament damage to the device?

Shorting Pin7 and Pin8 may cause permanent damage to the device when >7V is applied to Pin8 (VIN).

If <7V is applied to Pin8, the short will put the IC in shutdown mode although it does not damage the IC.
