LMZ31710: The specified UVLO / table 8 and 9 are not clear

Part Number: LMZ31710

UVLO on page 6 is specified to 4.00 / 3.85 rising trip point and lower trip point - I assume this is fixed and for voltage applied to Vin.

VINH on page 7 is 1.3 rising trip point and 1.1 falling trip point. Are the actual trip pints located someplace between these two numbers?

IINH on page 7 - the pin is sourcing 1.15 uA prior to reaching the rising trip point and 3.3uA prior to going back to the falling trip pint

Page 25 table 8. Is VIN UVLO (V) specified for rising trip point or falling trip point? It is not clear if the hysteresis stated is above or below the VI UVLO (V). First column: VIN UVLO (V) = 5.0V. Is the hysteresis point 5.4V or 4.6V)

  • The Vin UVLO 4V/3.85V is the internal threshold on Vin; this is fixed and therefore Vin must always be above this threshold.

The VINH is the Inhibit threshold. Applying a voltage below 1.1V on the INH pin will ensure the device is OFF and above 1.3V the device is ON.

The UVLO described in table 8 is accomplished by setting a resitor divider on the INH pin. It is not affecting the Vin UVLO, that remains 4V/385V.

The Hysteresis point is below the UVLO rising trip point.
