Hello,

I am designing a SPMS to supply a motor with 500W. I am thinking in use the LLC topology and the UCC25630x series. But I have a doubt regarding the Control Method. Is possible to have a fixed VCC value using ICs with control method of current? Looking in the WEBENCH Designer for the UCC256303, it is showing an output current, but in the datasheet shows a VCC outuput.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for your interest in UCC256303. Iout in the webench schematic represents the load current of the LLC converter. UCC256303 certainly can be implemented to regulate an output voltage. It depends on how you configure the feedback circuitry on the secondary side (a typical implementation for output voltage regulation is to use a feedback divider tied to a TL431 and opto-coupler to cross the isolation barrier).
