LM5066I: STATUS_WORD Bit 4

Hello Team,

During some debug of an LM5066i system, I am reading back STAUS_WORD (0x79) and getting 0x2851 which appears to indicate I am getting a fault, but specifically I'm interested in Bit 4 being set since the datasheet says this bit should always be 0. Can you confirm that this is true or if the IOUT OC bit is actually functional in the device?

Casey,

Make sure which format you are reading, Little Endien or Big Endien. Then compare to the status word bits in the DS.

Not sure what you are suggesting. If the Endien format was reversed then I would have the same problem right? 0x5128 means multiple unsupported bits would also be set: Bit 5, Bit 8, Bit 14...

Adding problem resolution for clarity:

BIT4 is mirrored from BIT 13 when a current fault occurs. A UV fault only trips BIT13. So BIT 4 actually trips on an input current fault. Technically, we do not support PMBus (79h) BIT 4 (I-out) since we read I-in, not I-out. BIT4 can be ignored altogether.
