UCC29910A: buck PFC + LLC topology for lighting

Part Number: UCC29910A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC29910, UCC25600,

Dear Sir,

i have a project that needs buck PFC+LLC structure, but i think these two item(UCC29910+UCC25600) can be used? so my specification as follows:

V(ac)in=347~480

Pout(w)=50w~300w for lighting.

sir, if you have a good solution, you can recommend it to me,thank for your great support.

  • Hello Tommy

The UCC29910A was originally designed to operate off universal line input - 90V to 264V and to give a fixed 84Vdc output. If you operate it off347V to 480V then the output voltage must scale accordingly. In your case the output voltage will be 480/264 * 84 = 152V. There is a little room for adjusting Vout - about ±5% or so but no more than that. Of course the UCC25600 can be used to control an LLC operating off that voltage without any difficulty.

Do you have a PF or THD specification ?

Unfortunately we don't have a reference design using the UCC29910 other than the EVM details of which are on the product web page at http://www.ti.com/product/UCC29910A/description

    Regards,
