BQ24780S: BQ24780S

Hi,

i went through datasheet of BQ25700A no where it is mentioned about Zero volt charging.

can you tell where exactly it is mentioned in datasheet and explain the operation.we are using lithium-ion battery.

When the battery is completely dead (zero volt), bq25700A converter works and charge battery up to Vsys_min with 128mA auto wakeup current.
Please take a look "AUTO_WAKEUP_EN" function in datasheet.

how is it different when using bq24780 ic,

this functionality can be done from the Host side? Like monitoring the battery voltage and performing the precharge using bq24780 also right?

This function explained is same as precharge feature not zero volt charging? how is it different from precharge and zero volt charging?

I don't have zero volt charging definition. Where does the "zero volt charging" come from? If it means "the battery is completely dead" in your first post, that "zero volt charging" is same as pre-charge feature on bq25700A to me. BTW, bq24780S doesn't have pre-charge feature.
