Hello,
Our team is planning to use the BQ27426 gas gauage after determining that we need ChemID 1202 for our battery chemistry. The procedure in collecting data for obtaining chemID was collecting data from the range of 3V to 4.2V (the upper and lower limits of the battery). Also, for background, our battery has a design voltage of 3.7V and design capacity of 2400mAh.
However, our team wants to set a charge limit up to 4.1V and a discharge limit of 3.1V. Does that mean that the process in determining the chemID be changed from collecting data from the ranges of 3.1V to 4.1V? My reasoning is that it should not, as we want the best possible match between our battery and gas gauge, meaning that the data should be collected from 3V to 4.2V. Is this correct?
If so, if we want to report a 100% SoC at 4.1V, is it correct that we can adjust the full charge capacity to report a 100% SoC instead of using the full 2400 mAh?
