BQ34Z100-G1: LiFePo4 8S 24V Battery Pack Gas Monitoring

Hello

I am looking for a gas gauge product for a LiFePo4 battery pack (24V 30AH 8S) with only the Pack+ and Pack- terminals available. It looks like BQ34Z100-G1 is the recommended option but from the datasheet it looks like this has to be integrated with the BMS and cannot be used outside the battery pack. Also I am looking for 30AH and BQ34Z100-G1 is only 29AH. 

I am looking for -40 to +125'C operating temperature as well. 

Are there any products to suit this requirement? Or suggest the closest possible option.

    Hi Deepakji,

    The bq34z100-G1 can operate as either as a pack side or a system system side gauge. The bq34z100-G1 is a strap-on-gauge and does not need to be integrated with other parts of the BMS.

    As for the 30 AH requirement, the bq34z100-G1 fufills this as well through the use of scaling. For more information on how to scale the device, please refer to the bq34z100-G! High Cell Count and High Capacity Applications App Note, found here: www.ti.com/.../slua760

    As a catalog device, the bq34z100-G1 has been rated for -40 to 85 degC in recommended operation, and up to 150 degC in storage.
