WEBENCH® Tools/UCC28911: WEBENCH Designer - mismatch values between datasheet and workspace

Part Number: UCC28911

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hello,

I am working on project where i'm using the ucc28911 flyback switcher.

As i was working on WEBENCH Designer i noticed that the forward voltage (VFatIo) is 0.81V (see image) which does not match the value found on the datasheet of the product (http://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/MURS320T3-D.PDF

  • Hello Vahe,

Thanks for taking the time to make a post about this.

It seems like the parameter you are mentioning is VF at Io, in other words, forward voltage at output current. This may be a calculation result and not the datasheet parameter, and the WEBENCH algorithm is choosing the best part to fit your design needs.

I can contact a WEBENCH developer to confirm that for you.

Would you mind providing some information about your design, such as input and output parameters? That will help to determine how you got the result you are seeing.

    Thanks,
    Davit

For my design parameters, I have Vin_min set to 150VAC and Vin_max to 265VAC with a frequency of 50Hz frequency. As for my output I have a 24Vdc output at 0.3A.

That's what I thought first. I changed the out parameters of my simulation to 0.2A but I'm still getting the same values.

    That would be great!

    Thank you very much

  • Hey VF,

Sorry for the delay, I'm out of office for this week so it may take some time to reply.

I've contacted the WEBENCH team about this, and will get back to you when I get word from them!

    Regards,

      Davit

  • Hi VF,

The MUR360T3G should have a forward voltage of  1.25V at 3A as per the datasheet. We have updated our database to reflect this correctly. The update should be available in a few days. Thanks for pointing this out.

    regards,

    Gerold
