UCC28881: is 46V output possible?

Hello team,

One of my customer would like to generate 46V non-isolated output from 110VAC input. Is it possible using UCC28881?

Webench doesn't allow designs with >24V output, what is the reason?

    Thanks for the interest here.

    Yes this part can do >24Vout. It can be a challenge thermally though so they will have to be very diligent about the power loss calculations. We limit Webench to 24Vout because that covers most applications for the broad market without getting people into issues using the design calculator.

    They may consider going with external MOSFET though depending on the power needed. Take a look at some of these designs and let me know what the customer thinks:
