WEBENCH® Tools/LM5022-Q1: Will 500KHz feasible for my solution

Part Number: LM5022-Q1

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi experts,

Requirements for my design, 12V input, 54V/2.4A output.

Webench gave a result of 248kHz switching frequency, can you tell me more about why this 248KHz is in use? Can I use 500KHz, a little bit lower efficiency is ok for me, most of the time the current should be less than 1A in my board, while I do need a smaller  area.

Thanks

Chris

  • It is based on trade-offs among the efficiency, BOM cost, and solution size. You can turn the nob to the right or left to change the design. You can also change the frequency in the Webench. Yes, you can change to 500kHz once you are in the Webench design page.
