For status information I like to control one 5x7 led matrix(two colors). preferably with one IC(I2C) because space is limited. To my surprise there isn't much out there. So how is this generally done?

We have the LED171596A which is a matrix LED driver IC. Do you have a part number for the 5x7 LED matrix? If I can see how this is arranged, and the driver requirement, maybe I can get a more appropriate part .
