BQ28Z610: Reset Commands 0x0012 and 0x0041

Part Number: BQ28Z610

Hi,

I have one question about the Reset Commands.

What are the differences between the AltManufacturerAccess Commands 0x0012 and 0x0041?

Which registers are reseted if I use this commands?

I didn't find any information in the reference maunal about both commands.

Best regards

Nils

  • Hi Nils,

    Both commands reset the device. These commands do not specifically target registers to reset the values, however, some values are recalculated upon reset. For more information on the specific value, please look up the specific value in the TRM (these are too numerous to list here). You can find more information about these commands in section 12.2.12 and section 12.2.25 of the TRM found here: www.ti.com/.../sluua65b.pdf

    AltManufacturerAccess() 0x0012 Device Reset
    - Section 12.2.12 of the TRM: This command resets the device
    - Note: Command 0x0041 also resets the device

    AltManufacturerAccess() 0x0041 Device Reset
    - Section 12.2.25 of the TRM: This command resets the device
    - Note: Command 0x0012 also resets the device

    Sincerely,
    Bryan Kahler
