BQ27541-V200: How to update GPCRB *.chem by bqEVSW?

Part Number: BQ27541-V200
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCRB, BQEVSW, BQSTUDIO

Hi,

My customer facing SOC jump when using bq27541-v200 at -20degree condition. So we do gpcrb procedure and get the report file like below picture.

1.Shold I need to update ID1352.chem into chip? Because I could not find the button like "Update chemistry from external file" from bqEVSW.

2. If ID1352.chem be  optimized by 1352.chem or they are the same files?

3.Why T Rise and T Time Constant can improve SOC in low temperature ?

Thank You

  • Hi Jeff,

Unfortunately, bqEVSW doesn't have the capability to update chemistry from file. You will have to send us the GPCRB output files for us to provide you with an SENC file with the optimized ID1352.chem loaded.
    1. Yes you need to update the IC with the optimized version of ID1352.chem
    2. The optimize file is the 1352.chem provided by the GPCRB tool.
    3. T Rise and T Time Constant is use to compensate for self heating of the cell during discharge, which helps with accurately predicting SOC at low temp

    Hi Damian,

Attach File is GPCRB report. Colud you help me to generate sens file? Or provide a contact window.

    Thank You.

  • Hi Jeff
pls read the instruction manual for the gpcrb tool. You need to program the .chem file, then program the gg file and then extract an srec. You do all this using bqstudio.
    thanks
