TPS27S100: how much current can be output at 50 degree C?

Part Number: TPS27S100

Hi team,

How much current can be output at 50 degree C?  I expect we can flow 2A current at the condition.

And are there any ways to estimate the maxim output current?

Regards,

Noriyuki Takahashi

  • Hello,

The max current can be estimated using the power dissipation formula: Tj - Ta = Rthja x Ron x Iout^2. Where Tj is the junction temperature, Ta ambient temperature, Rthja junction to ambient thermal resistance, Ron the FET on resistance and Iout load current.

    Using this formula: 150C - 50C = 41C/W x 0.166Ohms x Iout^2. The max load current = 3.83A.

    Regards
