TPS7A91: Rising waveform

Hi

My Customer has question.

Vout = 1.8 V setting.
I think TPS7A91 will stand up after getting up to 97%.

Watching the waveform, it got up rising, but is this normal?

    Hi T Kishi,

    Some overshoot at startup is common. During startup the error amp of the LDO is railed as it drives the pass device as hard as possible to bring the output into regulation. When the output reaches the regulation voltage, the error amp swings all the way to the other rail which of course takes time causing the overshoot. You can minimize the overshoot by using the soft-start. Please refer to section 8.1.2.2.2 for more detail on how to use the soft-start.
