Hello,

LM5069 needs to be used on PCB with 4oz thickness, where minimum width/clearance is 0.3mm. With its present package LM5069 can not be accomodated on the PCB.

Is there some other LM5069 package available?

Or, is there some other device that can be used for hot-short protection?

    Ok, I think I found a part that should do, TPS2492. In order to optimize the design, I'm considering using two TPS2492 for power or-ing functionality. Using back-to-back FET's on each of the two TPS2492 should do it. Thoughts?

    The TPS2492 has .35mm spacing between pin sides. Back to back FETs with a hotswap device does not provide true ORing functionality. It provides reverse blocking when disabled either manually or through UVLO. For true ORing capability, use the LM5050 + TPS2492. The LM5050 has .4mm spacing so it should be fine.
