Hi TI，

I‘m using TPS62046,the output current is 1.2A on the datasheet,my circuit consumes less than 1A when working,but the chip is heating.In my circuit,the inductance I use is 1008CS-472XGLC. I don't know why.

This is a very old device. What specs do you need it to meet?

As well, that inductor is not a good power inductor. It has a DCR of 4 Ohm!

parameter I should reffer to?

Hi Frank,

You can pick from the list in the D/S. As well, I might suggest using a power module like TPS82084 which has a simpler design.

The Isat and Irms are usually defined in the inductor D/S. Irms is the current that creates a temp rise, whereas Isat is the current that makes the inductance drop. We need both ratings for a power supply.
