Hi
I use a bq20z65 in a 2 cell configuration.
From the documentation it is not clear to me how often and under what conditions FCC and RemCap will be updated during a discharge cycle, I also see that some mechanism to prevent to large jumps in FCC is in place but do not understand it exactly .
Assume the following example:
- The pack is fully charged at room temperature (+25 deg C), RemCap/FCC shows 1200/1200 mAh.
- The pack is not loaded, the temperature goes down to -20 deg C.
Question: Will RemCap/FCC be updated taking the new temperature into account (if the circuit is properly configured)?
A load model with a constant load of 1200 mA and termination voltage of 5000 mV should at - 20 deg C give a RemCap/FCC of about 300/300 mAh for my cells and similar on all Li ion. (but it might bee higher if an internal temperature rise due to the load is accounted for).
So far during my tests is RemCap and FCC not updated at all in this example, but I might not have understood all configuration issues.
Regards
