BQ27510-G3: bq27510-G3 / Use NCR18650BF (ID:2050) battery with 4.1V charging and 3.0V EDV

Hi,

The customer consider to use bq27510-G3 with NCR18650BF (ID:2050) battery and we know that this battery was characterized with 4.2V charging voltage and 2.5V EDV. But now they'd like to use this battery with 4.1V charging and 3.0V EDV in their system. Then please let me ask following question.

At learning cycle, should we set charging voltage to 4.2V and EDV to 2.5V for this battery?
If the answer for #1 is yes, can we achieve correct accuracy with golden image at 4.1V charging and 3.0V EDV usage?

Hi Satoshi-san,

Yes to #1 and yes to #2. You will need to update the charging voltage and terminate voltage to match the application. Also ensure FC set % = -1.
