BQ34Z100EVM: VOLSEL BIT

Dear All,

Sorry for bothering all of you, surely it is an easy task but Im stucked in it and can not advance.

I need to configure the BQ34Z100 IC to work with a 10S4P, battery pack with SDI 26F cells.

I configured the jumpers of the EVM and read the device using BQ Studio and the EV2400 interface.

I can not set the VOLSEL bit, I tried also reloading the original firmware and the software do not allow me to change the status of the registers bits.

If I click directly on it, it does not respond.

The IC is unsealed, look:

    Hi Edgardo,

    Unfortunately, the attached image is not loading on this side.

    Are these Li-Ion cells?

    Have you modified the number of series cells to 10 prior to attempting to set the VOLSEL bit? If so, please put the device in calibration mode the modify the volt cell update ok voltage to the lowest value possible and assert volsel bit, then bring the device out of calibration mode. Please test writing to another register to ensure that you are still able to write to dataflash.
