Hello,

I have a 8 VDC input PoE ( 802.3at PD ) power controller required ( Flyback ), Did the TI have any suitable part? thank.

Hello Jason. Thank you for your interest in PoE products from Texas Instruments.

What power level are you trying to achieve? We do have two Type 1 (Class 3) limited parts - TPS23750 and TPS23770 - which have a 0V minimum VIN spec and an integrated DC/DC PWM.

Beyond those parts (if needing Type 2/Class 4 power for example), you could select one of our stand-alone PD controllers (like the TPS2378) and then partner with any DC/DC PWM of your choice.

Can I modify the "slvu329a" application to output 12V ? I need to change which component to output 12V /2.2A.

I have found the coilcraft JA4667-AL can support input 10~57V / Output 12V/2A with TPS23756( slvu329a), could you help provide the application schematic . Thank

Hi Jason,

Is the min input voltage range you're looking for at 8V? or 10V or 12V?

Typically for a 12V output (of the PoE converter), a 10-12V adapter is OR'd with the output of the converter. From a design perspective, it makes it more efficient because the adapter directly powers the load.

If 8V, the voltage is too low to power the TPS23756. As Thomas, suggested, the TPS2378 should be used and paired with a converter that can handle the 8V-57V wide input.

I recommend looing for a DCDC converter in our TI design reference design library in the link below to find a power solution for your power requirements.

Hi Darwin,

Sorry for my reply your message late. As below is my design for TPS23756 AUX input, the "J5" will input 10.8 ~ 13.2VDC and 24 VAC, so we can't Oring the aux source to output.

Now I already change the output is 5V to solve the problem, but if you have good suggest pls. let me know.
