TINA/Spice/TPS62110: TPS62110 for inverting buck boost

I would like to use TPS62110 in an inverting buck boost (14V in and -14V out). I encountered problem with TINA simulations. I then came across this post:

It doesn't seem to have a solution/conclusion to the problem at that time.

Hello,

Some of the older device models have internal ground shorted to node 0, hence the model can not be used in inverting configuration (though this is not a device limitation). We are adding floating GND nodes to the newer models. I would request you to consider a newer device for your evaluation.

You can find all models that support inverting configuration by clicking on the link in my signature file and typing "inverting" in the search box. Hope this helps..!!

Hi Wai-Ming,

As well, the 17V rated TPS62110 cannot perform the +14V to -14Vout conversion because this 28V is above its 17V rating. You need a higher Vin device, like TPS54160.

In addition, could you suggest an effective way for searching for converter products that has "HT" high temperature version?

Yes. In the parametric search, www.ti.com/.../products.html, this option is under the 'rating' menu on the left.

Chris,

I clear all other filters but High Temp, then only two products show up (TPS50301-HT and TPS62000-HT). There should be more.
Did I use the search engine incorrectly?

It looks like some devices do not have this field filled out correctly/completely. You can also sort/search/filter by operating temperature in the menu just above rating.

Hi Chris,

I selected "-55 to 175" and "-55 to 210", only four products show up. I know as a fact that there are more. Is there any way that I could have a list of all products rate 175C?

This would be done in the parametric search. Make sure you are searching the appropriate sub-family of products when you filter by temperature.
