LM25037: Doubt regarding the feedback portion in LM25037

Part Number: LM25037

Hi friends,

I have a doubt regarding LM25037 feedback portion.

1. What is the use of a 1V level shifter in comp pin?

2. If there is 1V level shifter the duty cycle cant be achieved 0% since there will be always 1V reference at comp pin right?. So how it will work?

Regards

Aneesh

  • Hi Aneesh

The 1V offset means that if the COMP signal is pulled below 1V the PWM achieves 0% duty cycle.

The addition of the offset is to allow for the fact that it is virtually impossible to pull any signal to 0V as most devices have some on state voltage drop.

The 1V offset overcomes this limitation.
